After the release of Square's highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIII, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) expects a significant increase in the number of PlayStation 3's sold.

This is said by President of SCEE, David Reeves. In an interview with VG247, Reeves, commented: "I think that just as we got a massive blip up with GTA IV – which was not exclusive – we’ll get exactly the same blip up with Final Fantasy.”

Elsewhere, on the game's move to the Xbox 360, he also give an attention and recalls that the title is still an exclusive PS3, in Japan, his home country.

He said that it will look great on PS3 and, it’s up to Microsoft to clarify this and it’s still exclusive in Japan.

In 2009, Final Fantasy XIII will be published in Japan and western regions. Game playable demo accompanied the Japanese Blu-ray version of Final Fantasy: Advent Children Complete.
